Why We Moved from Bluehost to Hostinger

About a year ago, we switched from Bluehost to Hostinger, so we’d like to share our experience there.

The Reason why we decided to switch to Hostinger

We decide to switch to Hostinger because of the reason below:

  • Disk storage
  • WooCommerce Option
  • Pricing
  • Hostinger’s UI is more suitable for me
  • Ease to move WordPress data

Disk Space Difference between Bluehost and Hostinger

Bluehost’s Basic Plan has only 10GB Diskspace.

The bigges and bigger our website is, we need bigger disk storage to manage website.

Hostinger’s Business Plan has 50GB Disk Storage and it’s also possible to install WooCommerce on WordPress.

About WooCommerce, we describe below header.

Hostinger Pricing is Reasonable

Hostinger offers plans starting in the $10 range, providing 50GB of disk space and WooCommerce functionality for running a website.
Additionally, for first-time users, Hostinger subscriptions were available for less than $10 per month.
These factors led me to make the decision to fully migrate from Bluehost to Hostinger.

WooCommerce Option

To install WooCommerce on a shared hosting service, you have to consider plans.

Hostinger was the best price to start a woocommerce website.

Our Experience Switching from Bluehost to Hostinger

Here, We share our thoughts on actually moving from Bluehost to Hostinger.

Migrating WordPress Sites from Bluehost to Hostinger

The migration to Hostinger went smoothly. Hostinger’s WordPress migration tool is excellent, allowing me to transfer content from Bluehost accurately without any issues, errors, or problems with pages not displaying correctly.

Our Experience Using Hostinger

Hostinger’s UI is very clear and user-friendly. After migrating to Hostinger, I haven’t had any trouble navigating its interface. Everything can be done intuitively without having to look anything up.

Hostinger’s Default Backup Feature

On Hostinger, backups are created daily by default, even without any special configuration.

This ensures that even after migrating a WordPress site to Hostinger, you can manage your site with peace of mind.

Bluehost Review

You can find a summary of my actual experience using Bluehost in the following article.

Migrating from a Hosting Service to a Cloud Environment

After migrating from Bluehost to Hostinger, we moved beyond traditional hosting services and transitioned to a cloud environment.

Our experience during this process is summarized in the following article.

Conclusion

It is recommended to choose a hosting service that fits your site’s environment, taking into account factors such as your current situation and the size of the website you manage.

With a cloud environment, you can operate your WordPress site in a more optimized setup than with traditional hosting services. Migrating to the cloud requires either technical knowledge or the assistance of a service provider who has the necessary expertise. However, cloud environments allow you to build and maintain a setup that is always tailored to your needs.

Starting with a hosting service and eventually moving to a cloud environment is, in the author’s view, the recommended approach for scaling your website infrastructure.

We hope this article helps you in selecting the right hosting service for your needs.
